Copy a prompt to your AI¶
Kanonik never types into your AI for you. Wherever you give work to your AI (start a job, change a record, send a draft back), you copy a prompt and paste it into your AI chat yourself. The panel works the same way everywhere.
The panel¶
- What your AI receives. The exact text, in full. What you see is what gets copied. Nothing is shortened or added.
- Your words. Some jobs have a box for your own words. They appear inside the text, marked with a label such as My note or My reason. When Kanonik recommends a fix, the box is optional. When it does not, the box is required and Copy prompt stays off until you write something.
- Copy prompt. Copies the text. After you copy, the page says Copied. Now paste it into your AI chat.
- Cancel, or Close, to leave without copying.
Long text scrolls inside its box. If your browser blocks copying, select the text and copy it by hand.
Where you find it¶
- On Start: Copy prompt, and the prompts for each job.
- On a record: Copy prompt for your AI, or Change this followed by the kind of record, such as Change this control.
- After you send a draft back: Copy prompt again, if you need the text a second time.
Nothing is sent by Kanonik¶
Opening the panel and copying send nothing anywhere. Your AI only acts when you paste.
